Abbott Vascular - Engineer (Non-Degreed) I - May 2026 - Aug 2026

Currently, during the 2026 summer I am working at Abbott Vascular at the Temecula Location.

For my first project, I was tasked to find a way to keep track of lots so they don't go missing and also give supervisors real time inventory insights to enhance scheduling decisions to hit end-of-month targets. I developed a custom inventory tracking system (Power Apps & Dataverse) with direct SQL integration to SAP, giving operators and supervisors real-time visibility into pre-finished goods. Implemented lot tracking and location tagging to prevent parts from being lost or misplaced, projected to save approximately 100,000 parts annually. This visibility also enabled faster, data-driven scheduling decisions to consistently hit end-of-month production targets.

For my second project, I was tasked to diagnose and solve a year-long outer diameter defect issue on a product that we have started insourcing. I worked with a team of 3 other mechanical engineers to develop a root cause analysis, implement new manufacturing workflows, and provide the operators with tooling and other resources to set them up for success. My supervisor always said to me, "go on the line and really understand the process. I expect you to be able to explain the entire process to me before you start making changes" which... I did!
I had spent countless hours really understanding the manufacturing process and where exactly the problem stemmed from.
The solution? A lot simpler than I was thinking. Of course...
Long story short, the solution ruled down to designing a new type of tooling to allow the operators to place the parts precisely where they needed to be. Any deviation and you would end up with a scrapped part.
This change projects a yield improvement from 54% to 64% and UPPH from 1.2 to 1.42.

Electronics Lab Tech Student Lead - Rapid Prototyping Lab - Sept 2024 - Present

As a Student Lead for my engineering buildings 3D Print lab, we produce more than 6500+ parts per year with 95% success rate. In my role as the student lead, I help train new student workers, oversee daily lab operations, manage and prioritize 3D print job queues, optimize printing workflows, and coordinate with faculty, staff, and student project teams to meet technical requirements and deadlines. Since integrating new manufacutring workflows, I have increased yearly product output by 6%. I regularly review designs for printability, and manufacturability, helping catch potential issues early and reduce failed prints, wasted material, and turnaround time.
We currently own and regularly use Prusa MK3S+, Prusa Core1, Prusa XL, MarkForge Mark2, Lulzbot Taz6, Bambu X1C, VLS4.60 (Laser Cutting), & Formlabs 3BL.

Quality Control Technician - AMP'D Entertainment - June 2023 - April 2026

In my work at AMP'D Entertainment, I serve as the main project lead for an RFID implementation that has streamlined return processes and significantly improved turnaround time. This project involved changing more than 13,000 cables to have an RFID tag on them as well as configure our RFD40 to read tags efficiently but also precisely. This process also allows us to track down cable using an RFID Geiger Counter Mode where we can track lost cable.
I also build and configure professional AV equipment racks from the ground up, integrating wireless audio systems, power distribution, and signal routing to ensure everything performs reliably for on-site environments. My focus is on clean builds, logical layouts, and systems that are easy to deploy and troubleshoot in the field.
In addition, I work as a live audio engineer, mixing sound for clarity, balance, and consistency during live events. I collaborate closely with production teams and crews to adapt to show requirements, solve problems on the fly, and deliver a smooth experience for both performers and audiences.
